Coil built vessel in black stoneware with raised porcelain dots.
Made using the slow technique of coil building. The vessel is gradually built up using layers of clay in a coiled lengths and gradually smoothed into shape.

Generously sized, it measures 36cm in diameter and stands 24cm tall, weighing just over 5kg. The texture is a pleasing and deliberate mixture of burnished, razed and rough in addition to the tactile raised porcelain dots.

It is on offer as a second as It is has two drying cracks on the surface. The cracks which do not go through to the inside of the clay were probably the result of uneven drying but don’t compromise the integrity of the vessel.
