Make your own Wide Bowl and Dinner Plate
Make your own Wide Bowl and Dinner Plate
Suitable for all levels including beginners and especially for those who have attended the Make your own Mug and Plate Workshop. A 2.5 hour workshop during which I’ll guide you through making a wide bowl and a dinner plate. Starting with a lump of clay, you’ll roll out your clay and use it to hand build a wide bowl and a dinner plate using a combination of moulds. At the end of the workshop you’ll leave them with me to dry, fire and glaze. Your pieces will be ready for you to pick up, or have them posted to you, within 3 weeks.
A practical hand crafted addition to your home that you can use with pride. Make this set for yourself or as a personal gift for someone.
Whether you’re trying this out because you want to get more involved in pottery or whether you just want to try something different, you’ll pick up some useful skills. You’ll learn how to cut and shape clay with two different types of mould. You may also have the chance to use a professional slab roller. Come ready to get your hands dirty and zone out for a couple of hours!
Workshops will run with a minimum of 3 people. If under booked I will let you know 2 days before and you will have the opportunity to swap to another date or have a full refund.
Information for attending the workshop will be sent to you at least 2 days before your workshop date.
The studio is located on a working farm. Entry is via a standard size door and unfortunately wheelchair access is not available at this time..
