Plates Samples and Seconds
Sample side dishes. The side dishes are slightly smaller (16 - 17cm diameter) and with less glaze coverage than the regular side plates. The glaze stops a couple of centimetres short of the rim, unlike the regular plates that are covered almost up to the rim. The unglazed portions are still food safe.
The dinner plates are samples (Bronze) or seconds (Glaslyn) with a couple of very very small superficial scratches caused during sanding after firing. They do not affect the use of the plate.
The Side plate is great for toast, cake, snacks, entrees and amuse bouches. It also functions as the perfect saucer for the regular mug and for the medium mug. Approx 16 -17 cm diameter x 1cm high.
The Dinner size plate is perfect for everything from salads and stews to traditional plate meals. Approx 25cm diameter x 2.5cm high
Dishwasher proof and microwave proof but to preserve the quality and look of your handmade items I would recommend limiting dishwashing to occasional use
Can be used to reheat for short periods in the microwave but dark items become hot very quickly in a microwave so please take care when handling.
Not tested for use in the oven.
